The Strategy

It was clear that a technical audit needed to be done first, followed by an analysis of the site’s content and backlink profile.

  • Full technical audit addressing key issues such as; a high amount of 404s, duplicate & thin content, orphan pages and pages with broken links.
  • On-Page optimisation / adding value to key landing pages such as job and category pages (site contained hundreds of pages of thin content).
  • Full backlink profile analysis, addressing shady links built by the previous SEO agency that contained keyword rich anchors.
  • Kick-started an effective outreach strategy targeting universities and government websites.
